Come On America-Why you being a Dick?

A Former  congressional aide convicted of taking bribes from an illegal dispensary in Las Angeles; convicted of taking a $5,000 dollar bribe from an illegal marijuana shop he threatened to shut down. Prosecutors say Kimbrew solicited the bribe from a pot shop in Compton. The indictment said Kimbrew claimed he was working with the FBI and could help the shop get permits to stay open if the owners paid him. Prosecutors say he accepted the money from an FBI agent posing as a business partner. City News says Michael Kimbrew was found guilty Thursday of attempted extortion and receiving a bribe. He faces up to 18 years in prison when he’s sentenced June 4.

Now that i got the facts out of the way lets have a little fun with this, don’t you just love it when karma comes out and just punts a dudes Dick off? That’s what he gets for threatening the peoples weed, but everything looks like it’ll be alright. I’ve been reading about this bill called the House Bill 2020, introduced on April 6, 2017, by Congressman Gaetz. This new Bill says that they seek to reschedule marijuana as a  Schedule III narcotic – and it would make marijuana a comparable equivalence to Tylenol. Right now marijuana is classified as a Schedule I substance, which is the ranking for drugs with the greatest potential for abuse and with no medicinal value(in this case we know that’s bullshit). I mean dam Heroin, ecstasy and LSD are listed in the same class as pot, as for drugs or any other aspect not even close to being on the same level , while cocaine and methamphetamine rank one level lower than marijuana, as Schedule II.Weed Hemp Bud Joint Keef

How the hell did this happen, I mean shit our American government used to encourage the production of hemp in the  the 17th century for the creation of rope, sails, and clothing. Did you know that in 1619 the Virginia Assembly passed legislation requiring every farmer to grow hemp. Hemp was allowed to be exchanged as legal tender in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland. In 1906 there were many over the counter remedies that included mainly cannabis. Then after the Mexican Revolution of 1910, Mexican immigrants flooded into the U.S., introducing American culture to the recreational use of marijuana. The drug then became associated with the immigrants, and the fear and racial bias towards the Spanish-speaking newcomers became associated with marijuana. Anti-drug campaigners warning people against the approaching “Marijuana Menace,” and terrible crimes were associated with marijuana and the Mexicans who used it.

By 1931, 29 states had outlawed marijuana. So look at that, our great country getting rid of something they like because the guy with brown skin likes it too. In 1950 a first-offense marijuana possession charge carried a minimum sentence of 2-10 years with a fine of up to $20,000. Then in 1970 Congress repealed most of the mandatory penalties for drug-related offenses. It was widely acknowledged that the mandatory minimum sentences of the 1950s had done nothing to eliminate the drug culture that embraced marijuana use throughout the 60s, and that the minimum sentences imposed were often unnecessarily harsh, even eleven states decriminalized marijuana and most others reduced their penalties.

That didn’t last long, in 1984, President Reagan signed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, instituting mandatory sentences for drug-related crimes. The new laws raised federal penalties for marijuana possession and dealing, basing the penalties on the amount of the drugs involved. Possession of 100 pot plants received the same penalty as possession of 100 grams of heroin. A later amendment written by President George Bush was added to the Anti-Drug Abuse Act establishing a “three strikes and you’re out” policy, requiring life sentences for repeat drug offenders, and provides the death penalty for “drug kingpins.” WOW, that’s some crazy shit at least we now know why weed is illegal for recreational use, because our government are a bunch of racist greedy dicks on the subject, I would bet anything that anyone one of the people passing those bills smoked weed and knew it could cause no harm. If you want true peace in this country just legalize it and you’ll see the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Governments are quickly learning just how much money the cartels have actually been making, and by legalizing it will divert those funds to themselves. That is one of the biggest reasons for legalization and the big push to have it done so. Until then, we do what we do and get it how we get it. It’s all good.

This is a great post and I totally agree with what you shared here. There has been so much brainwashing about the truth of marijuana by government, the pharmaceutical companies, and other competing interests. There are many reasons why marijuana was classed as a schedule I drug and one main factor has to do with money.

Both the pharmaceutical companies and Randolph Hearst (1863 – 1951), a politician and a businessman who created the largest newspaper chain and media company, wanted hemp outlawed in a big way because it threatened their profits. Both cannabis and hemp have medicinal properties and hemp makes paper better than trees.

The pharmaceutical companies knew that marijuana, which you cannot overdose on like you can with pharma meds, wanted it banned because they would lose millions of dollars in profits from all the things marijuana can treat and even cure. Randolph Hearst also owned a lot of timber for the making of paper for his newspapers. Hemp threatened that too. Both of these opponents were behind that stupid inaccurate movie called Refer Madness.

I really do hope the growing and spreading truth about the efficacy and safety of marijuana will have it legalized in more states across America and have it rescheduled to level III. No one has ever died by smoking too much pot. But you can die if you drink too much alcohol or smoke too many cigarettes. It is also impossible to get cancer from smoking pot because the CBD in cannabis kills cancer cells.

Would love to here other peoples opinions or thoughts

  • Hi Head Master,

Loved your site, the “object de art” glassware you have on show and sale are gorgeous.
I live in Australia and our politicians are also slow on the benefits of HSO for cancer, pain, arthritis and generally the crappy side of getting old. Thank god for the internet and being able to buy what you need when you need it.
Australia – why are you being a dick? – also applies.
